California Update – New Regional Closures – Personal Services including massage, hair, esthetics, and nails to close if ICU bed capacity reaches 15% or less

Governor Newsom modified the state’s Stay at Home orders on December 3, dividing the state into five regions. Regions that have 15% or less intensive care unit (ICU) bed capacity will be shut down from all but essential services for three weeks.

Ohio COVID-19 State Update—Permission to Practice May 15, 2020

There have been many changes in the massage therapy, esthetics, and cosmetology professions and communities in response to COVID-19 (coronavirus), from state orders closing businesses, to reopening phases modifying practice procedures. Below is information regarding your back-to-practice date and safety guidelines to minimize risk of exposure to and spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.

Georgia COVID-19 Update: Online CE allowed for courses taken after September 24

On August 28, 2020, the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy approved emergency rules that allow online continuing education (CE) to be counted toward licensure requirements during the 2020 renewal period. The governor and attorney general approved these emergency rules effective September 24, 2020, and the Board updated the rules on their website when they learned of the approval and the effective date on September 29, 2020.
