Delaware Online Continuing Education for Massage Therapists

Online continuing education is now accepted for the renewal period ending August 31, 2020.

Section 9.0 of the Delaware Board of Massage and Bodywork’s (https://dpr.delaware.gov/boards/massagebodyworks/) rules and regulations outline the biennial requirements for continuing education. Practitioners are required to complete 24 hours of continuing education every two years, nine of which must be taken in a classroom, hands-on setting. However, due to the current health crisis presented by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Board recognizes that hands-on classes are not possible at this time.

Therefore, for the safety of the practitioner and to ensure the required 24 hours of continuing education may be completed by the August 31, 2020, deadline, the requirements of subsection 9.4.2 have been amended (https://regulations.delaware.gov/documents/July2020c.pdf ) to state: “For the licensure renewal period ending August 31, 2020 only, nine hours of Core credits . . . may be taken in a classroom, hands-on setting or online” (page 9).

ABMP members have access to 200+ hours of free continuing education in the ABMP Education Center.
