Washington Increasing Cosmetology Fees November 22, 2022

The Washington Department of Licensing (DOL) has updated cosmetology fees for the first time since 2019. The fees will become effective November 22, 2022. ASCP [EH1] notified members of the proposed fee increase in September, and because of public commentary and ASCP members’ efforts to contact the DOL, the cosmetology fee increase is not as high as initially proposed.

Review the final licensing fee schedule (cosmetology fees are about halfway down the page) or review ASCP’s[EH2]  fee summary below. If you have questions, email the DOL at rulescoordinator@dol.wa.gov.
