New Hampshire Lowers Education Hours

Many states are scaling back on required cosmetology training, and New Hampshire is the latest to join the movement.

In June, Governor Kelly Ayotte signed into law Senate Bill 194, modifying qualifications to become a licensed cosmetologist. Going forward, students will need to complete a minimum of 1,200 hours of training in a school of cosmetology, a decrease from 1,500 hours.
