To serve as a barber member on the Board, you must:
- Hold a current Montana barber license
- Be a Montana resident
What Does the Board Do?
The Board protects the health, safety, and well-being of Montana consumers by regulating barbers, cosmetologists, electrologists, estheticians, and manicurists. Board members play a key role in:
- Evaluating and adopting new barbering and cosmetology rules
- Reviewing and approving license applications
- Participating in disciplinary and enforcement matters
