Nebraska Proposes to Decrease Instructor Training Hours

The Nebraska Board of Barber Examiners (Board) announced a proposed rule that would reduce the required time a barber instructor would have to attend training in a barber school from one year to nine months, issuing the notice in the Lincoln Journal Star September 2022.

If you would like to submit written comments to the Board in support of, or in opposition to, the proposed rule, email barbers.board@nebraska.gov before October 22, 2022. Those wishing to provide in-person comments are invited to attend a hearing scheduled for October 23, 2022, at 8:00 a.m. CDT at the following address:
